Long Term Care Information Session

Members of the Restigouche Society of Teachers (RSRT) gathered at the Campbellton Curling Club on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 for an information session regarding long term care and related financial assessment.

Janique Ouellette Cyr, Supervisor of Long-Term Care for this region, and Joanne Derosiers, Supervisor for Financial Assessment, led us through the governance structure and the complex array of practicalities of support provided for long term care. They did a great job of helping us understand the system and answering our ensuing questions.

Registration and sharing together

Because we have a good pension plan retired teachers are unlikely to qualify for financial support. Nonetheless, this is still very valuable information to pursue as it does make us aware of what is available and how we might be able to find support for long term care, especially for those people who wish to remain in their homes as long as possible.
