On September 9th our Provincial President, Bob Fitzpatrick, sent out information about a “New Horizons for Seniors” Project that would potentially grant $25, 000 to use for our local Seniors.  We decided to apply for the grant and donate the money to our “Spirit of Christmas” community project that provides seniors in and around Bathurst with food and emotional support during the season.  It’s been an interesting journey, and we won’t know until February or March if we are successful, but especially during this time of COVID we feel it’s especially important to look out for our most vulnerable community members.
