Restigouche Spring Meeting 2024
Restigouche Retired Teachers held their Spring Meeting on May 16, 2024 at the Legion in the community of Jacquet River, located in the far eastern end of our Branch. Thank you to Allan & Theresa Hayes for organizing this event.
President Randy Hunter chaired the meeting with an extensive agenda including a report from the recent NBSRT AGM in Saint John. Five members of the Branch were in attendance. Reports were also given for Wellness, Online Media, Joy & Sorrow, Reflections, Membership & Scholarship. The new constitution first draft was previously distributed and is ready for the committee to tweak.
The meeting was followed by a full traditional Turkey Dinner with all the trimmings and dessert. The Ladies Auxiliary didn’t disappoint despite the high expectations they had set from their previous presentations. Their cooking, beautiful tables and their service were exemplary. We are so fortunate to hold our meeting there once a year – a definite drawing card for our attendance.
