Living To Learn
We all have heard stories, and many of us have direct experience in knowing elders who have suffered from one form of abuse or another. Central Branch has engaged two experts in the field of elder abuse in Canada for this fourth session of their Living to Learn Series – Bénédicte Schoepflin, Executive-Director of the Canadian Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse CNPEA, and Jodi Lee-White, CNPEA Vice-Chair and New Brunswick Lawyer.
They will speak on the topic of elder abuse in Canada and how to prevent it, including:
1. Types of elder abuse and key facts
2. Recognizing signs of mistreatment
3. What do you do if you think something is wrong
4. Prevention measures
5. “Future Us-Futur Nous”- a recent project of CNPEA, is a roadmap to start and advance a national dialogue on elder abuse in Canada
