A Christmas Connection

Central Branch members along with guests, fiddler David Neilsen and pianist Carolyn Holyoke, enjoyed 45 minutes of Christmas carols via video conference on Tuesday Dec 15th.  Not to be outdone by David’s top-hat, storyteller Rod Campbell wore his authentic “storyteller’s hat” as he spun a homey Christmas story with a message.

The branch wellness mini-production was aimed at bringing members together in the spirit of Christmas in this year of forced separation from traditional activities and loved ones, and produced lots of enjoyment and positive feedback.

From everyone at Central Branch – Merry Christmas!

It is so very nice to hear what branches are doing for members during these most challenging of times. During the Christmas season it is especially important for each of us to feel that we are in the thoughts of others. Being brought together in ways that celebrate the season helps us support each other until we can be together in person. Well done Central!!

What a great event – thanks to everyone involved. Having music placed into our lives during this crazy time is so important. David, Carolyn and Rod were awesome. Central Branch Wellness would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

Group Insurance Rates for 2026The New Brunswick Society of Retired Teachers (NBSRT), on behalf of the NBTF Group Insurance Trustees, is forwarding the 2026 Group Insurance Renewal Rates directly to its members to ensure that everyone has timely access to this important information. Although the NBTF Group Insurance Trustees have already mailed a communiqué outlining the updated rates, the ongoing rotating postal strikes across the province may mean that delivery cannot be guaranteed before the new rates take effect with the December 24th pension deposit. Because many members rely on this information to understand and plan for changes to their monthly deductions, NBSRT felt it was essential to provide an additional, reliable method of communication. By circulating the rates through our own channels, we aim to prevent delays, reduce uncertainty, and ensure that all members—regardless of postal service disruptions—receive clear, accurate details about the upcoming adjustments. This proactive approach reflects NBSRT’s commitment to keeping members well-informedCheck your email for this information. This information is already available in the MEMBERS ONLY – GROUP INSURANCE section of our website ...
