Atthougth retired, Marjorie remains incredibly active serving on numerous committees with various groups and organizations at the local level and beyond.  She serves as Chair of the Chatham (Miramichi) Library Board of Directors, the Friends of Beaubear’s Island Historical Group Board of Directors and Finance Committee, and Delta Kappa Gamma: International Society of Key Women Educators (DKG).  She is also actively involved with the MARTA Branch of the NBSRT compiling and cataloguing existing historical documents of the branch since its inception in 1976.
