Carleton-NY Retirees On Ice

“Hurry Hard”

A small but eager group of retired teachers from Carleton/North York branch,  gathered at the Nackawic Curling Club on Wednesday, March 15, for some fun and refreshment.  The activity was organized through the branch wellness program, headed by Joy Hanson.  Thanks to the Curling Club for hosting the wellness event.  Some of the retirees went to the curling ice and received some practice on stick curling.  Audrey Cernivz and Sharon Morrison provided the best techniques for the beginners.  Others in the group stayed in the clubhouse and played a variety of card games.  Sweets and hot drinks rounded out a great afternoon of fun despite the “Ides of March” stormy weather outside.
