Restigouche Branch held their Spring AGM at the Campbellton Legion on Thursday, May 21, 2026.
President Randy Hunter who had decided not to run again for the office of President expressed his appreciation to members for their support and involvement during his presidency. Committee Chairs reported on their activities. Attention was drawn to the importance of encouraging retired teachers to become members of the association. Also of note was the great variety of activities that had been offered to members during the last year and going forward in this year.
Marian Humphrey reported on some changes that were needed in the Constitution to clarify the relationship between branches and the parent body, NBSRT. Members must be informed in writing of proposed changes 30 days before the meeting to consider those changes. This will be prepared before the Fall AGM.
The meeting ended with the election of new officers and reaffirmation of those who were still willing to serve. The current slate of officers:

The meeting was followed by a delicious lunch prepared by chef Dennis Downs.
