End of the school year!! Remember how that felt? Exhaustion and exhilaration – both at once . . .
Restigouche Retired Teachers shared in the exhilaration today when delivering coffee, tea & homemade muffins to the staffs in the Campbellton, Dalhousie, and Jacquet River Schools. Such a pleasure to see the still fresh faces of former students, now teachers, and to meet new teachers, some so proud to be following in the steps of their parents. We are so fortunate for that continuum and for the many teachers both “seasoned” and new who carry on with the path that was once ours!
They are strong, able, determined, joyful, loving and resilient! We are all so fortunate for that!
We shared the following message with them today:
Bravo! You’ve done it—another year of taking good care of our youth and building their foundation to make their way in a complicated world. Our society would crumble without you and we are so grateful to you for keeping the underpinnings strong.
These treats are to give you a moment to savour the many good moments and to pat yourself on the back for your hard work and dedication.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Restigouche Society of Retired Teachers
