Back To School – NOT

NOT This Time

Restigouche Branch celebrated the beginning of the school year by enjoying a leisurely breakfast at the Restigouche Experience Centre where members warmly welcomed two new retirees.  Situated on the beautiful Restigouche River, it was a far cry from the hub bub of school buses, new schedules and new students.

Although The Experience Centre doesn’t usually serve breakfasts, we were fortunate to be part of a “trial run” in their consideration of possibly beginning to do so on weekends.  Maître D’ Adam Ayles, well known to many of the retired teachers, added to the enjoyment of the morning by ably engaging in the repartee started by some of his former teachers.

Joanne Currie, our Wellness Rep, organized the event and even added some trivia fun with prizes for the loudest and fastest, correct or almost correct answers.
